British Formula Ford Sampler Day (Video)

Filed under: Race Reports on December 10, 2007

Last Wednesday I got the chance to test the championship winning Mygale Duratec during the British Formula Ford Sampler Day at Silverstone. Although only a brief test, I did just eight-laps on a very wet circuit, I was impressed not only with the power and performance of a Formula Ford Duratec, but also the professionalism of the series participants and its organisers.

The Sampler Day is a concept more series should adopt – especially those backed by a manufacturer. A marketing exercise perhaps, but if nothing more it introduces some much needed accessibility into one of the most prestigious entry-level categories in the world.

I would like to thank Jan at Remita Racing for the use of the car, Nathan Freke for his support on the day and Redline Racing for organising the event itself.

Now, anybody want to buy me a Duratec?
