Vote for me in the Grand Prix Shootout!
The Grand Prix Shootout is a unique initiative which provides an opportunity for a young racing driver to gain a fully funded career and route to Formula One. The selection process includes an initial assesment at Bruntingthorpe Proving Grounds, following which eight drivers will progress to a final round at Pembrey.
After spending a day testing a Formula BMW, the winner will receive a fully funded year racing in Formula BMW Europe and a management contract which will provide the funds to reach F1.
Originally, the initial assesment entry fee was £6,950 + VAT (yikes!). However, through a partnership between DriverDB and Grand Prix Shootout, free entry is being offerred to the three drivers who secure the highest number of votes during September.
So, please vote for me. Please vote up to ten times (with different e-mail addresses, if you have them) and remember to validate the vote by clicking on the link in the e-mail. You can either vote by using the form below (easy!) or at DriverDB here.

Six reasons to vote for Martin (me)!
- I have won a National championship outright (2007 UK Formula Vee Champion).
- My achievements were recongnised by the UK’s leading motorsport magazine Autosport and I was named 2007 Autosport Number #1 Club Driver of Year.
- I have won in every category I have raced – both UK Formula Vee and Formula Ford.
- I have never completed a full season of racing (even in 2007, I was forced to miss three races) and so contests such as this provide the best opportunity for me to further my career.
- I have demonstrated the highest levels of technical knowledge as a contributor to Racecar Engineering Magazine and I also possess a First Class Honours Degree in Computer Science from University of Essex.
- During my three years at university I was recognised as an elite athlete on the University of Essex Sports Bursary Programme.
Thank you.
